Holy Trinity Church Charitable Trust

As result of the closure and deconsecration of Holy Trinity Church in late October 2007, we decided the best way forward was to form a public, not-for-profit charitable Trust. The Holy Trinity Church Charitable Trust was established on 5 November 2007. Its general purposes and method of operation are described in our Plan for Preservation and Future Use. In brief, we have asked the Anglican Diocese of Tasmania to transfer Holy Trinity with all its fittings and furnishings into the Charitable Trust.

Other key points of the Plan include a 31 May 2008 transfer date which allows the Conservation Management Plan, funded by Hobart City Council, to be undertaken and considered carefully beforehand. We have also offered a scholarship for theological study.
